Tonight teens and staff will be here at the church.  We will come together for a low key night around our various game tables.  We will break for a time in the Word.  During our evenings here at FBC we will be focusing on the life of Joseph.  He was a young man of God who “made the grade”. 

Hot Off The Press:

      Please pick up your copy of this year’s DE calendar.  There are planned and unplanned events for the year.  We would like your input both on what to do and when it would be best to do it.  This is your ministry and we would like you to take ownership and have the opportunity to speak out. 

Christmas Service:

      Ms. Seifried is looking for young and old teens who would be willing to serve in this year’s SS Christmas program.  The program has speaking parts and singing parts.  Please consider joining so as to make the search for help minimal.  Our program is slated for Dec. 21 during the evening service. 

What In The Word:

      This morning our attention will be given to the later part of James chapter 1.  Our study will be about our relationships with friends.  Are we “making the grade” as a friend?  Do our friends “make the grade” as well?  It is important that we take note of this area of our life.  We have the opportunity to be used by God to impact them for Christ or to encourage what already exists.

      What a great start last week for Awana and DE.  Thank you to all the adults who serve in these vital ministries.  Your presence and service is valuable.  May the Lord be honored each week as we humble ourselves under His hand.
